NEXUS PARENT REFERRAL PROGRAMME

1. This programme is open to parents of all year groups at Nexus International School (Singapore) (NISS). It applies to any new enrolment into the school.

2. A new enrolment is defined as a learner joining NISS for the first time from a family that does not currently have any other children enrolled at the school.

3. The referral programme is valid for any successful enrolment until further notice.

4. To qualify for the programme, the Parent Referral Programme form must be submitted before the referred student’s application is submitted. 

5. The referral incentive will be awarded only after the new learner has successfully completed one full term at NISS.

6. The Referrer can choose to receive the referral incentive as a SGD 1,000 tuition fee credit applied toward  the next semester invoice, less any applicable taxes or statutory deductions required by law or donate it to one of the three designated charities. Where the Referrer has no subsequent term invoice due to the graduation or withdrawal of their last enrolled learner, the fee credit option may be offset against outstanding account balances or paid via bank transfer, subject to tax compliance.

7. The Referrer shall, upon request by the School, provide such documentation as the School may reasonably require  to determine the Referrer’s tax residency status, including for the purposes of applying any applicable withholding tax. Where such documentation is not provided within the stipulated timeframe requested, the School shall apply the default statutory withholding tax rate as required by Singapore tax regulations. 

8. Claims for the referral incentive will not be accepted if submitted after the new learner has already applied to NISS.

9. If the referred learner withdraws before completing their first full term, the Referrer will no longer be eligible for the incentive.

10. The referral incentive is non-transferable to other learners and cannot be exchanged for cash.

11. NISS reserves the right to modify or withdraw the Parent Referral Programme at any time without prior notice or liability.

12. The referral incentive is not applicable to learners who have:

1. Previously enrolled at NISS.

2. Applied, been accepted, and/or are currently enrolled at NISS.

3. Applied through a registered education agent, in which case the application will be deemed an agent-led enrolment.

4. Enrolled as a result of an internal transfer from any other school within the Taylor’s Education Group, Taylor’s Education Group Alumni, School Scholarship Programme or Corporate Partnership.

13. The School reserves the right to disqualify a Referrer from the Parent Referral Programme, and to withhold or reclaim any incentive already applied, if any fraudulent activity is identified in relation to the referral.

14. In the event that two Referrers refer to the same learner, the School will have sole and final discretion in determining the eligible Referrer. Only one referral incentive is payable per new enrolment.

15. Personal data submitted under this programme, including the Referrer’s and the referred family’s contact details, will be collected, used and disclosed by NISS in accordance with the Taylor’s Schools Privacy Notice for the purpose of administering this programme. Where the Referrer elects to donate the incentive under Clause 6, the School acts solely as a remitting agent on behalf of the Referrer, and any donation will be remitted net of applicable tax withholdings. The Referrer’s name and NRIC/FIN may be disclosed to the designated charity as required for that charity to process the donation and, where applicable, report it to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) for the Referrer’s own tax deduction claim.
