CONCESSION PASSES

In Singapore, children who are below 0.9m tall and accompanied by a fare-paying commuter can automatically travel for free.

Children who are 0.9m and above in height and below seven years old can apply for a Child Concession Card. Non-Singaporean citizens should bring their passport and Singaporean citizens should bring their original birth certificate to any of the Transit Link Offices to apply for this.

Please note that issuance of cards will be based independently on the year that your child turns 7. (E.g. A child who is born in 2016 will not be able to apply for this pass in 2023.)

For non-Singaporean children above 7, they will have to pay the standard adult fare. At this point, they can use any EZ-link card or their Learner Passes.

For Singaporean children above 7, they can get a Student Concession Card. This card needs to be renewed every year, at least 3 months before the expiry. The expiration date can be found through the EZ-link app or seen when you tap any MRT gantry. You may email Learner Services to help you start this renewal process. It is very important to get this renewal done within the 3 month period as any delays will result in a fee to restart the concession renewal process.
